Contract Scotland is looking for an experienced Accounts Assistant to join our client, an independent and forward thinking construction business based in the Edinburgh area. Working as part of this busy and fast paced accounts team and reporting to the Accounts Supervisor your duties will include:
• Processing and following up invoices and goods received notes
• Updating invoice tracker daily
• Printing invoices and dealing with queries from the internal mail box
• Managing allocated supplier list
• Completing month end tasks to close deadline
• Annual and monthly file checks
• Assisting Accountants' with overhead reviews
• Carrying out administration tasks including; scanning, filing and updating procedures
• Providing training to accounts junior You will have good numerical ability and will understand the importance of working accurately and efficiently and within set timescales. Ideally you will have experience of working in a similar role, where you have carried out purchase ledger duties. A working knowledge of Navision would be preferred however training can be provided.
