Company Accountant - Staffordshire Are you an experienced Accountant looking for a new challenge with a growing SME organisation? Join this expanding and developing service sector business based in Staffordshire. The job: As Accountant for the business, you will be working closely with the Directors. This is a very 'hands on' role where you will effectively have sole responsibility for the accounts function: - Purchase and Sales Ledger - posting and allocating - Supervising payrol - Invoicing and Credit Control - Bank reconciliation - VAT returns - Updating reports for Profit and Lost - Management reports to Directors advising re Actuals vs Budgets and Forecasts - Preparation of all month end and year end data for external Accountants - working to deadlines As a key member of the team, the Directors will look to you to provide accurate and clear business data to enable them look at short-term and long-term business strategies; recommending new processes and systems to help with the operational and financial management of the business Experience and Qualifications: You will be AAT qualified, and be either QBE or part qualified CIMA / ACCA You will enjoy working in a hands-on role in a SME environment, take pride in the accuracy and clarity of your work, be confident when working to deadlines, be proactive, and enjoy contributing to ideas and strategies. You will be professional, confident and business-like when communicating with clients, and be able to liaise with both Finance and Non-finance personnel at all levels. You will have strong all-round IT skills -experience in use of Xero would be an advantage.
