Orka Financial is currently working with a business that is looking to recruit a Financial Accountant to join the team and report into the Financial Accounting Manager. The role has responsibility for managing the day to day accounting duties for the group, operating within Company policy, targets and guidelines. This role plays a vital role in supporting both internal and external stakeholders. Duties include; Support month-end reporting for multiple operating entities Maintain monthly balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany Reconciliation of revenues and costs to ensure accuracy and timeliness Responsible for ensuring effective management of fixed assets Determine and operate effective inventory management Assistance and preparation for year-end reporting including production of working papers Undertake all preparation work for audits Support and provision journal entries to the general ledger and ensure accuracy and control This role would suit someone who is currently studying towards an accounting qualification or may be AAT qualified or qualified by experience. You will have a solid background in accounts, have good systems skills and work well within a team and have a flexible, adaptable attitude. This role is split location wise between Hemel Hempstead and Reading and will involve working 2/3 a week in each office so would suits someone living in the Slough/Windsor area.
