£21,500 Benefits: Up to 9% combined pension contribution 25 days holidays bank holidays Free eye tests Cycle to work scheme Retails discounts Subsidised canteen Free car parking About the Role: We have an exciting opportunity for you to join us at Tunstall as an Assistant Financial Analyst for a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract . Reporting to the UK Finance Manager you will be supporting the UK Business on accounting and financial reporting. You will support various processes such as management and statutory, budgeting and forecasting and ensure compliance and integrity of procedures, controls and balance sheet reconciliations for your area(s) of responsibility. In addition, you will provide finance support to the commercial accounting team, and will work closely with them and the Financial Account team, to document processes and procedures, to continuously improve and re-engineer / optimise the month end close process. Working Pattern: 37.5 hours per week, working Monday - Friday Key
Responsibilities:
Ensure monthly management and annual statutory reporting is accurate, and delivered in line with reporting deadlines. Support the review of the month end close process with the aim of reducing month end close. Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are completed with risks/opportunities identified in line with reporting deadlines. Review monthly financial results with stakeholders, ensuring all issues are documented and appropriate actions agreed. Support the annual budget and quarterly reforecasting processes. Provide support to stakeholders on an ongoing and ad-hoc basis. Support any ad-hoc projects as required. Work in close consultation with the UK Finance Manager in implementation of revised systems and processes. Manage the Inter-company process, ensuring that all intercompany balances are confirmed at year end, balances are settled in the proceeding month and all invoices are raised for the UK. Manage the UK Cashbook, ensuring all items on the bank reconciliations are posted to the correct place by the relevant people, the bank balances match to the finance system and any unreconciled items are investigated and posted. To be successful: You will be ACCA/CIMA part-qualified or have a relevant finance degree or equivalent qualified experience. Strong IT skills with efficient knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook as well as financial/CRM systems. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. An ability to work to tight deadlines and manage your workload effectively. You should be a team player but comfortable working under your own initiative. You should be good problem solver with great attention to detail.
