The Finance team at Calor Gas are seeking to recruit a Tax Accountant to prepare and submit timely, accurate, complete, and compliant direct and indirect tax returns for the Calor Group, including UK parent holding company. Supporting the Finance team in respect of monthly and year end tax reconciliations and tax accounting. Supporting and deputise for the Tax Manager where necessary. Key responsibilities will include: Corporation Tax Employment Tax (and NI obligations) VAT CCL (Climate Change Levy)/Fuel Duty Road Fuel Duty Import Duty & Customs Procedures Reconciliations Risk Management. As such we would like you to: Be a qualified member of : Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) or Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales (ACA) or Chartered Institute of Tax (CIOT) or Association of Tax Technicians (ATT). And have experience within the below: Show track record of pre and post qualification tax experience either in-house or in practice in at least one direct or indirect tax specialism, corporate tax or VAT. Must be able to demonstrate strong accounting skills as well as ability to reconcile underlying records to tax returns. A record of advisory experience for business/clients which reflects the ability to make a decision for the company's transactions within the tax law but in the best interests of the company.
