Head of Finance - Adult Social Care & Public Health Vacancy Ref : 6884990 Venn Group are currently recruiting for a Head of Finance - Adult Social Care & Public Health with a large public sector organisation in the South West. The role is located in Wiltshire, over a 6 month period, paying upto £750/day umbrella inside IR35.
Responsibilities:
Contributing to the formulation of Service objectives and policies Sole technical specialist for the council in an area of specialism or managing a large, complex and contentious project which affects the whole council. Acting as one of the leaders for accountancy providing strong inspirational leadership through the setting and delivery of the strategic vision and direction of the team. Driving continual improvement and value for money in performance, and application of policies and financial controls. Ensuring continual professional development in the understanding of local government and the local and regional context. Responding positively and promptly to all agreed audit recommendations (internal and external) Required experience: Must have Local Government experience, and worked to a Senior level Professional qualification full accountancy (consultative committee accountancy bodies) CCAB Good understanding of General Ledger applications (including SAP), excellent use of excel and data interrogation routines and applications Full UK drivers licence Project management qualification or able to demonstrate equivalent knowledge, skills and experience To apply for this position, please contact Andreas Bubier-Johnstone on or email your updated CV to Venn Group is an equal opportunities employment business and employment agency and welcomes applications from all candidates.
