Purchase Ledger Clerk
Cambridge, Cambridgeshire Hours: 08.30am - 17.30pm Monday - Thursday, 08.30am - 17.00pm Friday
Up to £25,000 (dependent on experience) We are looking for candidates who have worked to their own ability within a purchase ledger position. You will be able to communicate with internal departments and provide an excellent service to customers, being professional and efficient. Duties: Ensuring that the company's policies and procedures are adhered too at all times and delivering a high-quality service Answering a busy phone line and emails, dealing with customer enquiries Handling any urgent matters professionally and appropriately, within a timely manner Processing all supplier invoices via the in-house portal Reconcile supplier statements to the purchase ledger accounts and liaising with suppliers upon any queries Preparing weekly payment runs to be reviewed by the Head of Accounts Raising BACS file and bank movement reports Writing cheques when required to do so Assisting the accounts team with day to day duties Skills and Experience Required: At least 1 years' experience of Purchase Ledger Experience in service charge client account is desirable but not essential Use of accounting systems (ideally Qube but it is not essential) Strong IT skills, using Word, Excel, Outlook Strong numerical skills Excellent attention to detail Ability to work to own responsibility and within a team Professional telephone manner Willingness to learn new skills Professional and polite telephone manner If you have not received a response within 3-5 working days, unfortunately your application has been unsuccessful.
