A Finance Business Partner is being recruited to join the accountancy function of a leading business in Liverpool.

Client Details

A key player in the transportation industry within the UK, the business is a key player in their sector and is one the largest companies of its kind in Europe. The company holds a major share in the market and has plans to continue growing across the world. They now have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join in what will be a fantastic, challenging role.


As Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role in connecting the finance function with the rest of the business through building strong relationships with key stakeholders in order to provide advice, insight and analysis to help support and improve company performance. Key duties will include:

  • Responsibility for the budget process including annual business planning, forecasting, strategic analysis and pricing
  • Review and analysing performance versus budget, analysing variances and commentaries
  • Supporting the forecasting process
  • Conducting monthly variance analysis with operational heads, identifying root causes
  • Reviewing and developing KPIs to support managers and help with key decision making
  • Business partnering to supporting the costing process, such as write offs, price variances, margin analysis etc
  • Preparing financial analysis to support investment decisions including scenario analysis


For the Finance Business Partner role, we are looking for:

  • CIMA/ACCA Finalist level candidate
  • Experience of management accounts
  • Business partnering skills
  • Excellent relationship-building skills
  • Strong communication and influencing skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong system skills
  • Able to continually improve processes
  • Excellent time management, organisation and planning skills
