The Position A fantastic opportunity has become available for an Accounts Payable Assistant to join our busy Accounting department covering maternity leave for approx 12 months. Working within a team of five you will report to the Accounts Payable Manager, your duties will include; Responsibilities Shared responsibility of the central Accounts mailbox, to include printing invoices and responding to queries in a timely and professional manner Checking, inputting and processing invoices for payment Filing approved invoices for weekly payment run Preparing weekly cheque and BACS payment runs Filing weekly payment list reports Running the weekly payment report Producing aged debtor reports Posting cheques & remittance advice Ad hoc accounting and administrative duties and responsibilities as and when required The Person You will be well organised with excellent attention to detail Have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) Must have the ability to work both independently and as part of the wider team Must be computer literate with basic knowledge of all MS packages including Excel and Outlook Will have previous experience within a similar role A working knowledge of COINS is highly desirable Must be able to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment Benefits 24 days holiday Private health care scheme Pension scheme Competitive salary Please note this position is covering maternity leave for approx 9- 12 months There is no parking onsite, however there is parking in the nearby vicinity
