Finance Business Partner
The role of Finance Business Partner will report directly to the Commercial Finance Manager, and will need to develop strong relationships right across the business, making a real positive financial control and commercial contribution to both our internal support functions and the delivery teams.
This is a fast paced Finance Business Partnering role within this multi award winning Business based in their head office in West Oxfordshire.
The core responsibilities for the first 12 months will focus on developing cost forecasting and reporting, supporting budget holders to develop their budgets, analysing spend and identifying opportunities to improve the value achieved for the money spent.
The role of Finance Business Partner will be able to build strong relationships quickly and manage stakeholders through a period of change. As FBP, it will be expected to provide insightful information and be able to design and implement processes in order to improve the business operations. The role will also include production of forecasts and analysis, with a strong emphasis on departmental and project reporting, which will feed directly into Boards to help them make informed decisions.
A key element of the role will be to enhance, develop and review KPIs and dashboard reporting for various functions across the business. The FBP will leverage and further develop your commercial acumen through providing budget holders and project managers with understanding, value adding ad hoc analysis and reporting, whilst helping raise financial awareness across the wider business.
Critical to the success of the role will be the ability to build positive working relationships and trust within the business to enable the ability to challenge and contribute as a 'business person' as well as a finance practitioner.
An essential part of the success of this role is being able to integrate well with the existing Finance team through collaboration, best practice sharing and support. Strong communication skills are crucial, along with the ability to get stuck in and ensure all deadlines are met.
Recently qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
3 years'+ training experience (in practice or industry)
Strong attention to detail and an investigative nature
Good time management skills and the ability to prioritise
