A well established and recognisable brand within the Leisure and Sport sector is looking to grow the team with the addition of a Interim Sage Systems Accountant - with a Fast Start in mind. The Senior management have a key focus on profitability and ensuring financial compliance through effective financial systems and processes of this new team through implementing SAGE. Located in Luton they are easily commutable for anyone local or able to commute from Dunstable, Leighton Buzzard, Bedford, MK or the surrounding area with parking on site. This is an initial 3 month contract with the potential to extend and focused around key projects of systems and process imrpovements whilst ensuring efficient month end and accounting procedures are put in place

Description

The Key responsibilities for the role of Interim Sage Systems Accountant are:

• SAGE Systems Upgrade
• Upgrading of systems and procedures
• Business partnering
• Producing detailed budgeting and forecasting reports from a variety of income streams
• Maintaining and improving accounting operations and controls
• Analysis and forecasting of budgets vs actuals
• Working with other departments to provide KPI reports on a variety of in house function
• Preparation of accounts to management level (Month End and Year End)
• Analysis of Cash Flow alongside budget preparation through modelling
• Responsibility of statutory reporting and contract administration
• Maintenance of the Fixed Asset Register
• Preparation of reporting and evaluation on existing assets and acquisitions
• Detailed business analysis of subsidiaries by profit centres
• Ad-hoc duties as required by Line Manager

Profile

The Successful candidate for the role of Interim Senior Management Accountant will be:

• Previous experience in implementing or upgrading SAGE and ensuring it is fit for business
• QBE or actively studying towards a qualification (ACCA,CIMA,ACA)
• Previous experience in a similar role improving processes and working with financial systems
• Proficiency in Excel is required - Financial Modelling skills are desirable
• Extensive knowledge of management accounts
• Operational accounting knowledge
• Proven track record of business partnering internally and externally
• Strong Analytical skills with an eye for detail
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure
• Able to multi-task
• Team Player
