Are you a team player with experience of delivering accounting and financial administrative support? We are the Institution of Structural Engineers. The world's largest membership body dedicated to the art and science of structural engineering. The Role We are currently on the lookout for a permanent Finance Officer whose primary responsibility will be to process our members' subscription payments, which are fundamental to the Institution's income. You will work closely with our wider Membership teams, updating our accounting and CRM systems to ensure that membership fees are accurate, therefore, strong attention to detail is essential. As the first point of contact for members regarding their subscription and any queries they may have, you must be confident in providing information and guidance, and in taking payments, via phone and email. You will be required to produce monthly reports for senior staff, and as such should be at intermediate level with all Microsoft applications and be highly numerate with the ability to quickly see if numerical figures are accurate. Working collaboratively with the Finance team, you will also support with core finance work, including month end processing, and any other ad hoc activities required to ensure all runs smoothly. About You: We are looking for candidates with experience of: - Delivering financial administrative and accounting support - Using CRM systems to ensure effective data maintenance - Acting as first point of contact for enquiries - Working collaboratively within a small team - Using Accounting systems (i.e. Microsoft Great Plains) would be highly advantageous You should have: - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal - Word/Outlook/Excel and PowerPoint to intermediate standard - Part qualification in finance/accounting would be highly advantageous, or the willingness to study - Right to work in the UK on a permanent basis What we can offer you: A salary of £25,425 - £28,250 per annum DOE and a 35-hour working week with flexi time.
