This a traditional Finance Director role, covering all elements of this SME finance function. Our client is seeking a highly analytical Finance Director who has an exceptional eye for detail, a strong technical background and one who is able to challenge the existing systems to deliver the reports required by the board. Candidates with an in-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices and a solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting. An analytical mind with both the strategic ability, excellent organisational and leadership skills are essential. Ensure that all of the company's financial practices are in line in statutory regulations and legislation. Drive the financial planning of the company by analysing its performance and risks. Interpret complex financial information and provide updates and information as needed. Regular review of accounts and performance with the MD and the strategic leadership team. Oversee Cash flow forecasts, working capital management and plan accordingly. Decision support, commercial finance, budget & forecast. Management of invoice financing, banking relationships, auditing, insurance and legal relationships. Prepare official reports on a monthly and annual basis. Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions. Daily management of staff within the finance team. Retain constant awareness of the company's financial position and act to prevent problems. Update and implement financial policies and procedures. Challenge of existing systems, process, procedure and control. Skills and Qualifications: The ideal candidate will be ACCA qualified. The ideal candidate will have corporate finance experience gained within a large practice. A strong and broad knowledge to all accounting, financial and business principles. An analytical methodology is essential for this role. Ability to implement a strong culture of best practice within finance. Previous experience managing all elements of a finance function is essential. Energy, enthusiasm, motivation and experience to challenge existing practices. Demonstrable experience of working with senior stakeholders in and out of finance.
