We envisage this will be in the range of £35,000 - £40,000 in line with experience benefits JOB START: Immediate JOB SPECIFICATION: An excellent opportunity has arisen for a management accountant to join our team. Tibbalds Planning and Urban Design is an award-winning employee owned multi-disciplinary practice of architects, planners and urban designers. We work for a wide range of private, public and charity sector clients on a mix of large and small projects ranging from new settlements to small-scale individual buildings. We are an independent SME, based in central London, but with an established reputation nationally. In recent years, we have successfully grown our business, with larger and more complex projects, and a bigger team. The role of Management Accountant reports in to the Head of Finance and will responsible for managing the work load of the Finance assistant and Finance Intern. We are looking to appoint a Management Accountant to help us develop/streamline the month end process and analysis of the accounts, including project and management performance. You will also support the Project Leaders, contributing to the financial and project management of large complex multidisciplinary projects, where there is a large team of sub consultants, in terms of finances, appointments etc. You will be part qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) with a minimum of 5 years experience. The role may also suit someone who is AAT qualified and continuing with further qualifications. The work will involve: Processing month end accounts. Reporting the month end numbers to senior colleagues Providing information for the year-end audit Budget tracking and reporting. Managing the work load of the finance assistant and Intern. Credit Control Supplier and Subcontractor payments Ad hoc duties as required Quarterly Vat Returns Supporting the Head of Finance ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: 5 years' experience in management accounts Strong double entry skills Extensive Sage and MS Office experience Accuracy and an eye for detail Excellent analytical and numerical abilities Flexible to a varied role and adaptable to change Self-motivated and assertive Experience of working in small businesses within a small finance team is essential. We want someone who is a good communicator and interested in the 'big picture' of financial strategy as well as in the detail of day-to-day finances.
