Job Details
Summary of Role
Provide support to the Record to Report team and is responsible for the development and maintenance of accurate financial information for specific areas of the general ledger and account reconciliation.
Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Reconcile and analyze various trial balance accounts including, but not limited to, cash accounts, prepaid expenses, other assets, intercompany accounts and miscellaneous accruals.
- Prepare journal entries and related support.
- Prepare other balance sheet reconciliation to ensure robustness of accounts, and investigate and clear differences on a timely basis
- Resolve accounting discrepancies as appropriate.
- Reconcile and confirm all intercompany transactions. Responsible for intercompany settlements.
- Assist internal and external auditors with audits.
- Strict compliance with accounting standards, statutory law and continuous improvement on all financial aspects;
- Handle any other tasks and ad hoc assignments;
Monthly fixed asset procedures
- Perform asset management operations.
- Ensure addition and maintenance of assets including, but not limited to, retirements, reassignments, and cost adjustments.
- Assist with tax matter in relation to sales & use tax, as well as property tax reporting for all locations
Other
- Participate in cross-functional team meetings as necessary;
- Identify, recommend and implement process changes;
- Perform testing of support systems;
- Handle any other tasks and ad hoc assignments;
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Required
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- A dynamic individual, excellent interpersonal and communication skills;
- Able to work independently and meet reporting deadlines under pressure;
Required Experience, Qualifications & Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field;
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in General Ledger operations;
Preferred Experience, Qualifications & Education
- 3 years related accounting experience and previous exposure in GBS or SSC environment is added advantage.
