Accounts Assistant City Based £25000-£28000 bonus study package This leading City based Financial Services Business is looking to recruit an Accounts Assistant on a permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a small finance team where you will have an amazing opportunity to take on varied tasks under the mentorship of an excellent team and manager. The business is looking for either a recent graduate or someone with a couple of years working in a finance function. You will be looking to start or carry on with your professional accounting qualifications. (Study package will be provided.) The responsibilities will include: Maintain accurate accounting records for the Company including the fixed asset register, purchase ledger system. Ensuring authorisation & payment of company supplier invoices. Responsible for the preparation of balance sheet reconciliation work e.g. bank balances LCA balances, claims and premiums. Day to day cash management & liquidity checks across all currencies. Assist in the preparation of monthly/quarterly management accounts. Assist and produce monthly accounting controls, as required. Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns for both Agency & Syndicate. Liaise with auditors and management as necessary. Assist in the administration of the syndicate investment portfolio. General ad hoc duties including preparing finance and investment committee packs, and preparation of finance minutes for board review. Ad hoc projects including the development and implementation of systems to improve ledger processes and department efficiency.
