Ever wanted to manage the finances of a top sports club. Well now is your opportunity. The current Rugby Premiership and European Champions are seeking an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join their team. You will be located at the clubs famous stadium located in Hendon, North London and will be expected to undertake the following; Roles and responsibilities Primarily to assist the clubs Management Accountant on all management accounting issues and processes associated with the financial running of the club. Balance sheet ownership Cashbook and Reconciliations / Petty Cash Management of a number of the club's key projects including the building of a new stand. This project will provide you with great exposure to the whole process of the building of the new stand. Reconciliations between our finance system and our ticketing/stock systems Season ticket Direct Debit management Ownership of Debt control process and reporting Match day P&L reporting to Head of Finance Key Performance Criteria (KPIs) Be an active team member sharing ideas and participating in team spirit, and be loyal to and supportive of colleagues including any temporary members of staff. Participate in regular reviews and appraisals in line with club management standards. Give full co-operation to any colleague requiring assistance in prompt, caring and helpful manner. Undertake training and development identified as required in reviews and appraisals. Attend internal meetings as required. The type candidate we are looking for A relatively experienced management accountant who is actively working towards a recognised financial qualification, for example CIMA/CGMA, ACCA or equivalent. You must be willing to adhere to the values, principles, code of conduct and ethics of the financial profession and the club. Experience of managing projects will be an advantage Other aspects of the role A salary of up to 25k per annum for the role. The working hours are 37.5 Monday to Friday from 9.00am to 5.30pm. 25 days of annual leave per year along with the additional 8 days bank holiday The offer of auto enrolment to the pension scheme as well.
