NXTGEN are recruiting an Internal Audit position for a flagship Peterborough based employer. As Internal Auditor, you will work as part of a small but high performing Internal Audit function, supporting both the design and delivery of the annual audit plan. This high profile role with gain excellent exposure across the group, working closely with key department heads and executive teams, making recommendation on control improvements to mitigate potential risks. There will also be an opportunity to support a variety of projects across the group, working closely with global subsidiaries to maintain consistency and improve the quality of financial reporting. Key responsibilities of the role will include: - Support the design and delivery of the annual Audit plan for group, working closely with senior Finance leads to complete in a timely and efficient manner - Review current risk and controls frameworks, ensuring effectiveness and that current controls are fit for purpose - Review audit reports and identify opportunities for process improvement to mitigate risks - Ad hoc project work across the group as directed by the Finance Director This role is ideally suited to someone looking to make their first move from practice to industry and candidates will need to be fully qualified (ACA/ACCA or equivalent), with experience gained in a Big 4 firm. A passion for process improvement and identifying opportunities to add value will be key and candidates will need to demonstrate excellent communication skills, with the ability to work across a complex group. An excellent technical knowledge and experience with financial controls is also essential.
