Due to continued business growth and sales channel development, the group is currently recruiting for a qualified accountant to undertake a Senior Commercial Finance Business Partner role. Supporting business leaders in delivering profitable and sustainable growth for services, you will provide commercial and financial decision-making support aligned to strategic and customer priorities. A varied brief includes:
• Commercial Finance Lead: Working with a portfolio of business to challenge assumptions, influence decisions & make recommendations for efficiency improvements to sustain growth
• Acting as a trusted Commercial Finance Business Partner to the FD & business leaders (SMT), challenging & offering insight, analysis and MI/BI into contract profitability to drive future performance
• Lead on Financial Understanding of the customer (client) landscape & related drivers to provide contract & service pricing, cash & margin optimisation recommendations, ensuring a balance of risk & return
• Supporting the FD on leading Commercial Finance Performance recognising business value drivers & providing guidance on contract & service performance including ROI, scenario planning, KPI analysis & benchmarking
• Supporting the FD on portfolio strategy through market, competitor & portfolio analysis, informing market entry & exit decisions
• Support the FD & BU MD on client contract financial & deal negotiation: Developing customer relationships to support successful commercial & financial negotiations regarding variable revenue, rebids & change notices
• SWOT decision making: Support the FD & business leaders to deliver contractual obligations through identification of over & under delivery, performing root cause analysis & making recommendations
• Drive cost optimisation projects through profitability analysis & efficiency recommendations
• Commercial Risk management: Proactively identify, assess & manage financial & commercial risks
• Accountability for financial records, compliance, financial plans & forecasts (FP&A) produced by global back office teams As a graduate ACA ACCA or CIMA CGMA qualified accountant, you will demonstrate previous Commercial Finance Business Partnering experience gained within a contracts or projects or commercial industry services environment, proven stakeholder management skills and evidence of delivering cost optimization and revenue improvement. The role demands a proactive, self-starter with commercial focus and the ability to influence key business decisions. The organization offers excellent long-term career progression across the group.
