Bookkeeper, Circa £25,000 per annum (£21,000 - £27,000 dep on qualifications), Workington We are pleased to support a sucessful and expanding client in the Workington area who are looking for a Bookkeeper to join thier business on a full time basis. Our client is looking for someone who is ideally AAT qualified to at least level 3. Technically ability is important as this is a stand alone position for the business where you will be responsible for the finance function and all associated financial work. Essential criteria: Qualified accountant/Part Qualified/AAT Qual or Part Qual/ highly experienced Proficient in using Excel An eye for detail and accuracy Duties Include; Posting to nominal, sales and purchase ledgers Bank & credit card reconciliation Prepare VAT calculations for different VAT schemes and submit VAT returns and EC sales lists Accounts payable, receivables and purchase order reconciliation and auditing Credit control Processing payments Payroll & Pension Contributions - all duties Liaise with external accountants/HMRC/Bank as required T.B, P&L reconciliation System People operate as a Recruitment Agency in this instance.
