About the Role: The role is a part qualified position within the Group Financial Control team. It involves supporting both the Financial Accounting manager and the wider Financial Control and Governance team in the provision of periodic consolidated financial information, solving technical accounting queries and ensuring the integrity of reporting to senior management, auditors, investor relations and external parties. The role will include being a key user of the Group consolidation and reporting tool (BPC) to assist in the periodic reporting of the group numbers. The candidate will also be a key member of the half year/year end team ensuring IFRS and UK GAAP accounts are completed, audited and submitted within the required timeframes. Key

Responsibilities:
External Reporting Provide support to the Financial Accounting Senior Manager in preparation and execution of the interim and annual external reporting Preparation of statutory accounts for Group entities (e.g. Holding companies/Financing companies) including liaising with external auditors Assistance with other group statutory accounts including processing adjustments on OneSource; Accounts Preparation tool Preparation of iXBRL reports for tax reporting of statutory accounts on OneSource Preparation of Office for National Statistics returns and equivalent for NI and ROI. Management Reporting Working alongside the PLC consolidation manager to ensure BPC group consolidated reporting is completed for both periodic reporting and budgeting/forecasting. This will include uploading data, understanding the automation with source systems such as BW and SAP, and processing group adjustments Production of BPC reports as required by internal stakeholders Periodic reporting of Group non-trading entities (P&L, BS, CF, Interco) Control reporting - support in Balance Sheet reviews and policy/process improvements and development of minimum control framework Technical accounting Assisting the Financial Accounting Senior Manager in technical accounting areas for interim and year-end as required such as impairment reviews, Share based payments, pensions and derivatives Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required: Good numeracy/analytical skills are essential as well as a desire to gain exposure to and develop a career in a PLC Group Finance function Excellent relationship building/ stakeholder management skills (or the capability to develop strong relationships) Excel competency SAP/BPC experience (or willingness to learn) Qualifications: Degree or equivalent CIMA/ACCA study can be supported
