Located in West London, our client is looking for a Junior Management to join their growing, international Accountancy team.

Description

Located in West London, our client is looking for Junior Management Accountant with responsibility for the following duties:

• Revenue accounting

• Learn and apply revenue recognition rules

• Review new contracts and assist with the monthly booking and reconciliation of revenue

• Ensure the department complies with specified controls for Sarbanes-Oxley purposes

• Control of unbilled revenue accounts

• Assist with the monthly reconciliation of control accounts

• Review and follow up unbilled balances by project, liaise with sales teams and report to the finance management team

• Balance sheet reconciliations including ensuring accruals & prepayments are correctly accounted for

• Assisting to prepare monthly flash forecast, variance analysis and annual budget

• Posting timesheets and ensuring business units complete these in a timely manner

• Liaising with internal and external auditors

• Other responsibilities:

• Accounts Receivable:

• Interacting with the Company's systems in order to prepare and send out sales invoices by post, email or the client's portal systems depending on their preference

• Liaising with Sales Administrators and Consultants on the timely issuing of invoices

• Completion of statutory financial returns such as ONS surveys

• Other ad hoc duties as required

Profile

The ideal candidate

Previous accounting experience - would suit a "first-time mover" with 6-18 months experience

Any exposure to revenue accounting would be advantageous

Job Offer

Salary of £25,000 - £28,000
