Internal Auditor (with Study Support) - 40% Travel

Your new company

Your new company is a global company, working with some of the largest production and FMCG multinationals in the world to ensure consistent quality assurance across product lines. They are now looking to recruit for an Internal Auditor job, following someone recently moving from the Internal Audit team into mainstream finance in the business.

With operations across the globe, from Norway to South Africa, and Japan to Chile - this company has a team of around 15 auditors to ensure a consistent approach to their audit methodology.


Your new role

In your new job as Internal Auditor, you will take on a really broad set of responsibilities, from assisting on audit planning, carrying out audit fieldwork and drafting audit reports. Despite being Part-Qualified, your new company will expect you to lead on some of the audits of smaller business units, to allow you to develop your professional, and personal, skill-set.

During the time you are not working on an audit assignment, you will be expected to use your time proactively - whether this be to network with the wider business, improve audit methodology, work on continuous improvement of controls etc.

You will travel around 40% of the time, though this is not consistent across the year and can be focused at times. That said, they do plan well in advance to make sure the entire team is able to plan audits as best as possible. You will always travel and work as part of a wider team, which can include auditors from international locations - and be expected to work with them as if they were your day-to-day colleagues.


What you'll need to succeed

• Part-Qualified Accountant (ACA or ACCA). You must have completed a significant number of exams
• Interest in moving into a finance or operations role in the future
• Ability to speak a foreign language, ideally Spanish, is a bonus though not a prerequisite
• Self-motivated with ability to take initiative on new projects
• Confident, and able to liaise with senior stakeholders
• Ability to travel 40%, with potentially focused international travel

What you'll get in return

That is the reason for the recruitment of this job, in that someone had completed their Qualification with the company and moved into mainstream finance.
