Hays Accountancy & Finance are recruiting on behalf of their established client based in Perth for a permanent Payroll Administrator in a stand alone payroll position. Salary is £20,000 - £23,000 DOE + Free parking, 29 days annual leave (which increased with years of service) and pension
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of weekly payroll for the business. This will include processing the company sick pay, new starters and leavers and contract changes, Pension Auto Enrolment, PAYE, NIC, SSP, SMP, SPP and other statutory regulations including Tax Year End routines. You will deal with employee pay queries, processing BACS and nominal ledger and you will be required to provide reports to the Finance and other Departmental managers. You will print out weekly payroll reports and deal with all payroll matters including P45, HMRC, Government statistics, Employee letters and insurance claims. You will maintain payroll reports required for reconciliation for year-end audit and manage authorised holiday applications and responses to Employees.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role experience of working within a payroll background is essential. You will possess strong Microsoft Excel skills and have excellent attention to detail and accurate inputting skills. You will have an ability to maintain confidentiality and have good customer service skills.
