On the hunt for a graduate scheme that’s challenging, exciting – and as unique as you are? Our Finance Graduate Scheme could be just what you’re after.

We’re the UK’s number one homeware retailer, turning houses into homes across the UK since 1979. Today, with over 170 superstores across the country and a successful online operation – dunelm.com – we’re an industry-leading, instantly recognisable brand and offer over 50,000 products across a broad range of categories.

How did we get this far? By understanding our customers and constantly innovating and improving the way we do things. And we’re nowhere near finished. That’s why we’re on the lookout for fearless go-getters, ambitious self-starters and creative innovators who’ve got the passion and determination to take charge of their careers – and shape the future of our industry. That’s where you come in.

What to expect:

From commercial finance to procurement, from payroll to tax, the Finance team at Dunelm works with leaders and colleagues across the organisation, providing expert advice, identifying improvements and supporting key business decisions.

Join our team as a graduate and you’ll dive straight into this ever-changing, always-business-critical world with a structured rotational scheme that exposes you to a range of finance areas while providing you with the support, training and tuition you need to gain professional qualifications.

Over three years you’ll:

  • Play a key role in a range of finance areas including financial accounts and commercial trading
  • Get involved in all kind of projects, often working with other areas of the business
  • Build strong working relationships with people across the organisation and learn how different areas of the business really work
  • Dive into leadership workshops and development programmes that’ll shape you into a future leader
  • Study and work towards a professional qualification with support from a CIMA mentor
  • Team up with other graduates at Dunelm to work on ad hoc business projects

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong analytical thinking with a natural tendency to question the “why” and the “how”
  • The resilience and ambition to drive your own development and the eagerness to constantly find new learning opportunities
  • Logical approach and attention to detail
  • Strong organisational and time management skills
  • Ability to build relationships within your team and across the wider business
  • Some knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • A minimum 2:1 degree or equivalent in any relevant subject

Our benefits:

Our range of benefits are just as unique as our graduate schemes and include a 15% colleague discount on all our products.

Company

At Dunelm, we love homes and are just as obsessed by the products that go in them. We’re the UK’s no. 1 homewares retailer offering our customers over 300,000 products to enhance every room in their home. We focus on style, quality and value and are always working hard to make our customers’ lives a little easier.

We’re a multichannel retailer with over 170 superstores, four high street stores and a market leading website, Dunelm.com, featuring extended ranges and delivery convenience (Home Delivery, Collect+, Reserve & Collect) via multi-device functionality and our own delivery fleet.

We are really proud of our business culture and we like to do things our own way. We’re committed to our suppliers and making Dunelm a great place to work for our colleagues.

We’ve rapidly grown to be the UK’s No 1 retailer in soft furnishings and all while remaining family owned. This makes a big difference to our culture. We’re close-knit and supportive – a real home from home.

Of course, we’re in retail, so we’re not pretending you won’t have to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in. You will. But if you’re 100% committed and really care about our products, you’ll find a lot of love here. Not least the freedom to play to your strengths.

With Support Sites in Leicester and London, A Distribution Centre in Stoke, Contact Centre in Manchester and our Home Delivery Depots based around the UK - there’s bound to be a home for you here.
