Finance Manager opportunity in Derby


Hays Senior Finance is excited to be working an international leader in the development and manufacturing of international pharmaceuticals.

Due to continued growth they are looking to appoint a Finance Manager to join their newly acquired office Derbyshire. As the Finance Manager you will report directly into the Head of Sales and Marketing. This role will be a key member of the UK/Ireland Management Team.

You will be responsible for the duly leadership of the divisions of Finance, Controlling, HR and Administration (sales and service administration and logistics). You will ensure the department adheres to new financial and legal requirements. By delivering adequate information to decision makers and provide functional and technical leadership to maximise the performance of the division.

This is a pivotal role for a Finance Manager who will be responsible for all aspects of robust financial operations and the day to day management of the company's finances including but not limited to preparing and closing books, bookkeeping, debtors and creditors and investment, inventory with preparation of Balance Sheet, P&L statement and Cash Flow. The successful candidate will be managing the processes for financial forecasting and budgets, quarterly closings and overseeing the preparation of all financial reporting. Coordinating audits, financial reporting and liaising with external partners, legal advisors, tax advisors and banks.

You will maintain appropriate insurance coverage, monitor cash balances and cash forecasts and supervise the expense reports. You will also be responsible for managing and supervising human resources and administration. By a advising on long-term business and financial planning, reviewing all formal finance, HR and Admin related procedures, Construct and monitor reliable control systems. You will ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements and report on any risk issues to the management. You will solely be responsible for HR and Payroll. You will support the change from external to in-house payroll and lead the team of Sales and Service Administration and Logistics.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant ACCA, CIMA or equivalent with 5+ years PQE experience and previous experience working in a similar role is essential. You will hold a Bachelor's degree. The successful candidate will have strong skills in HR and Payroll with experience with strategic planning, budgeting, investment and profitability analysis. Hold the ability to deliver accurate results while working under time sensitive conditions with strong attention to details with a business partnering attitude. The candidate will be able to deal with a range of stakeholders, be commercially aware and able to manage a demanding workload, have good attention to detail, knowledge of IFS software/experience in implementing a new ERP-system (desirable not essential) and be intermediate/advanced in Microsoft Excel.
