Our client is looking for a Management Accountant to join their Accountancy team in Guildford

• Maintain the accounting policies & systems for the Group

• Prepare periodic reports and accounts from the accounting systems

• Provide reporting and analysis for the managers to help them better understand and manage their business area

• Produce/update the Group's cash flow reporting and support the AP & AR functions

• Liaise on regular basis with other senior managers, ensuring that they have the key data they need to run their teams and that they deal with / are aware of any adverse trends which need to be managed

• Oversee the processing of accounting entries direct into XERO & SAP B1, to ensure the accounting system accurately records the true trading position for the Group

• Oversee bank reconciliations on all accounts - including merchant accounts and key affiliate accounts, e.g. Amazon, eBay, Groupon etc.

• Report on and manage the Group's investment in current assets e.g. inventories and debtors

• Respond to ad-hoc projects as required by the FC & COO to ensure deadlines are met

• Prepare monthly management accounts, compared with budgets & LY to the reporting timetable

• Prepare group annual budgets and regular re-forecasts working with department heads and supported by the FC

• Prepare KPI summarised data, as may be agreed from time to time, to accompany the management account

• Maintain the systems and implement appropriate checking and review systems of the company data (sales, stock and retail reports) within SAP

• Liaise with auditors to produce schedules for statutory accounts

• Completion of monthly balance sheet recs for the group

• Identify areas of control and process weakness and develop solutions to strengthen these areas

• Produce quarterly VAT returns and oversee the HMRC function

• Oversee the day-to-day general ledger accounting and reconciliation of the Finance team

• Arrange periodic stock counts

• Any other finance department tasks as requested by Financial Controller.

A successful candidate will be available on short notice & have experience with the above
