An experienced Financial Analyst is required for our client based in Dunstable. Ideally, your experience will be gained in a hands on financial role where you are responsible for all reporting relating to sales, margins and gross profit. You will be working to establish a reporting process that delivers time critical information to both a branch network and the senior management team of this business. Financial Reporting Analyst - Job Overview Key responsibilities of this role include; Maintain pricing and agreement database; obtaining information from suppliers where needed Production of monthly sales reports Calculation of transaction and margin reports for branch network Production of gross margin summary for senior management team Submittal of claims from suppliers, communicating outstanding claims to other internal departments Developing reports from internal staff feedback Adhoc reporting as required by the senior management team Monthly analysis looking at the business profitability and margins Producing reports for entire commercial finance team Producing analysis of billings and margins, analysing costs incurred Monthly Financial Reporting Reconciliations Involvement with ad hoc Finance projects Financial Reporting Analyst - Skills & Experience Required Ultra-advanced MS Excel skills essential Prior experience of working in a reporting led analytical role Proven capability of manipulating large data sets from information heavy spreadsheets Experience of reporting writing for several audiences varying in seniority Previous retail/supplier work experience desirable Prior experience of working in a hands on finance role essential Strong analytical skills gained within a commercial environment Ability to communicate to both financial and non-financial managers Ability to manage adhoc projects received by the department Root cause analysis experience essentials Ability to produce clear, concise information Financial Reporting Analyst - Benefits Offered Salary to 35K Newly created role offering the job holder complete autonomy of report compilation and development.
