I am currently recruiting for an Assistant Management Accountant position based in Birkenhead covering a maternity leave for 12-15 months. The job holder will be responsible for all general non-purchase/ nominal ledger postings and associated reconciliation of all bank accounts, management accounts from ensuring the accuracy and integrity of the nominal ledger through to production of reports. Duties - Downloading all bank statements, ensuring sufficient funds, carrying out internal transfers, posting of activity and reconciliations - Reviewing nominal ledger - Set-up of manual BACS on Lloyds as requested - Verification and payment of expenses - Raising and approving purchase orders - Produce prepayments and accruals, post and reconcile to accounting system - Review fixed asset register - Production of payroll journals - Full reconciliation of monthly pension reports - Full reconciliation of monthly PAYE reports through to payment to HMRC - Produce statement of consolidated income, statement of financial position and cash-flow - Produce budget v actual expenditure report on a monthly basis - Update capital investment programme spreadsheets - Create draft annual budgets for income and expenditure account - Creation of monthly arrears and credit reports Person specification - Finance Degree or AAT Qualified - Management accounts experience up to and including full balance sheet reconciliation - Advance Excel skills, including SUMS, IF Statements, V-Look ups, Pivot tables - Advance Microsoft Word - Great attention to detail - Quick learner Benefits - 9 - 4.30pm - 25 days holiday bank holidays - 6% pension contribution - Bupa cash plan - Life insurance - 3x Salary - Free parking
