Job Details
Responsible for providing the business with accurate information, which will be used for decision making. Business partnering with stakeholders to assist with them meeting key financial requirements to driving performance.
Client Details
Large manufacturer based on the outskirts of Swansea.
Description
This is a diverse role with a heavy focus on RFQs, analysis and reporting. Duties include but are not limited to:
- Request for Quotations
- RFQ's completion
- RFQ site review
- Finance representative on RFQ program core team
- Oversee QLM (Quality lifecycle management)
- Profitability analysis for new and existing products / programs
- Costing
- Standard costing calculation and revision
- Review cost base for budgets and forecasts
- Finance representative on Engineering Changes
- Month End
- Preparation of monthly balance sheets reconciliations for inventory valuation and inventory provisions
- Preparation of monthly P&L Cost of Sales
- Preparation of monthly P&L analysis for sales and margin analysis
- Analysis and reporting on purchase price variance
- Administrative control of quarterly stocktaking process
- Submitting UK finance information for the site for the EU region and Global business e.g. cost of poor quality, premium freight
- Quarterly tax reporting
- Assist Financial Controller during monthly reporting
- Continuous Improvement
- Part of CI project team and reporting
- Work closely with the CI Manager to estimate savings and validate actual savings
- Analysis of projects process constraints including tracing back cost to underlying activities
- Miscellaneous
- As required deputise for the Financial Controller, Assistant Financial Controller and Management Accountant
- Ensuring accounting policies and controls are adhered to within the organisation
- Purchasing EOT presentation
- Assist in preparation of audit files for external year end and internal reporting
- Support the Financial Controller and finance team with year-end requirements and liaise with auditors
- Business Partnering with senior management and budget holders
- Developing modern MI and KPI reporting suites
- Working to modernise and develop controls, processes & procedures in order to make a difference and add real business value
- FYI over the next 18 months the group is moving from our in house ERP system (Scala) to Microsoft Dynamics 365
Profile
Applicants should be experienced Management/Cost Accountants who have previous experience from within the manufacturing sector ideally for a UK division of a larger European or American parent company.
- Qualified or studier of ACCA/CIMA
- Advanced Excel skills
- Able to multitask whilst maintaining priorities and meeting deadlines
- Comfortable dealing with a large and varied workload
- Experience working with non-finance managers
- A high standard of oral and written communication skills.
- Confident, organised, self-starter able to work on own initiative
- Good interpersonal skills
- Adopt a continuous improvement methodology, challenge current working practices
- Strong business ethics in adhering to Company Policy and Sarbanes Oxley Requirements
- Ability to work as part of a team
Job Offer
Salary 35 - 42k p/a
25 hols + BH
40 hr week - 12:30 finish Fridays
