Your new company
Your new company is a government backed financial services organisation, with a key aim to drive business growth. Our client works with a variety of financial partner companies to deliver an array of finance functions to SME organisation clients.

Your new role
Our client is seeking to appoint you into a Senior Financial Data Manager vacancy, a newly created position within a growing and established team.

Within your role, you will have a variety of responsibilities, with a flexible job description and the opportunity to shape the position to make it your own.
The role will encompass the ownership of the maintenance, provision and development of analytical data within the organisation.

This is a key position for our client, as you will be the primary expert in the data available for analysis and reporting across all operational programmes.
You role will encompass collection, validation, cleansing and transformation of raw data, both internal and externally sourced, and the provision of analytical data to support all product, subsidiary and Group reporting, including to senior stakeholders within the organisation at Board level.

You will be the principal user of the data warehouse, operated and developed by a dedicated team within the organisation IT function.

  • Staff management including mentoring and training


What you'll need to succeed
Above all, personality fit is key for this position. A key part of your role will be the management of Data Managers and Data Analysts, and as such, staff management experience and an adaptable and personable nature are essential to the role.
There will also be liaison with senior stakeholders, both internal and external and at Board level, so experience and competence of both these elements are vital.

Power BI is another essential element of experience required for this position, and competency in its' roll-out and usage is highly sought after, however similar packages would be considered.

Above all, you will have highly developed skills in analysis and data management, with the confidence and tact to challenge the requirements of senior stakeholders.
