Finance Manager - Manufacturing - upto £50,000 Macildowie are supporting the recruitment efforts of a long standing client, in their search for a Finance Manager for their Manufacturing site in Worksop. This will be working as a Number 1 role in finance for the local site, reporting into a Divisional Finance Director based in another one of the companies' locations. This means that you will be a critical member of the site leadership team, working closely with the Site GM, providing commercial and operational challenge to ensure the best possible performance for your business unit. So what is the role? You and your team will own all of the aspects of the site reporting. This includes weekly and monthly reporting on key KPI's, the monthly management accounts, budgets and forecasts, Capex Appraisals, Overhead reporting and managing the working capital. As you can see, it's a broad role, where you will really lift up the carpet on the site to see where things can be improved. You'll be someone who loves to look for efficiency's, someone who has reduced wastage, grown margin or had a direct impact on revenue through your interactions with key stakeholders. This isn't a typical "business as usual" role. You will be expected to take a lead on driving continuous improvement as well as a number of other key projects on site. Further to this, you will be expected to deputise for the Site GM during periods of absence, so an ability to lead people and teams is an absolutely essential requirement. If you are the type of finance professional who wants to hide behind a spreadsheet, this isn't the role for you. So who are you? You will be a qualified accountant (sorry, no QBE's or studiers on this occasion) with a deep knowledge of the manufacturing sector. You will be used to working in fast paced, high volume environments and you will be a bit of a costing guru as well. Given the nature of the role, you will have managed teams previously, ideally including areas outside of finance.
