Management Accountant - Interim Contract - £25000 - £30000 - Warrington

You will be working for a market leading manufacturing organisation based in the Warrington area, they are currently recruiting for 1 interim Management Accountant and 1 permanent Management Accountant.
Your new role
Reporting to the Financial Controller, you will be supporting the business with all month end processes. You will be assisting with the consolidation and reporting of the financial results, whilst preparing monthly monthly reconciliations such as for balance sheet accounts. You will be responsible for the preparation and posting of monthly journals whilst supporting the team in ensuring appropriate controls are in place for financial reporting. The role will begin in this capacity, however you will soon be developed and trained up to management accounts level. The company is looking for an ambitious individual who is keen to take that next step up in their career and as such, you will see yourself performing the tasks of a Management Accountant within the first 6 months.
What you'll need to succeed
You will currently be working in a role whereby you are performing month end tasks such as posting accrual and prepayment journals, balance sheet reconciliations and month end reporting. You will be confident in your ability to perform these tasks and understand the financial implication of your responsibilities. You will be looking to take that step up in a more progressive position and have the ambition to become a qualified accountant in the next 12-18 months. You will have been disciplined during your academic career and show this through good grades and you must have sat at least one professional examination paper (ACCA/CIMA) since graduating. It would be a huge bonus if you have experience working within the retail industry, although this is not essential.
