Your new company in a waste organisation in North Bristol, are looking for an Assistant Accountant. The role will require reporting to the Finance Business Partner to responsible for the profit and loss of a portfolio of clients/contracts including accurately and timely reporting performance to Gross Profit level. In this role you will ensure that all revenue is recognised and reported in line with Group revenue recognition policy and will maintain ultimate responsibility of the accuracy of the purchase accruals for their portfolio. This role will be the key point of contact for their KAM's providing insight into the performance of their clients/contracts
Your new role
You will be reporting to the Finance Business Partner working in a fast paced environment. Your duties will include managing the profit and loss for a portfolio of contracts/clients through thorough regular, accurate and comprehensive reviews of GP performance monthly . You will also be responsible for calculating the invoice values for client portfolio where they fall outside OTC process. In your new role you will responsible for attending all contract performance review calls that are relevant to the client portfolio. You will need to be able to support other team members as well as assisting with financial order management where required and providing cover for scheduled billing requirements
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be part qualified or studying AAT, CIMA, ACCA or equivalent or QBE. You are required to have a keen interest in understanding the business and its contracts and identifying opportunities for improvements. Must have excellent communication skills and attention to detail. Alongside strong negotiation skills and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines. Previous experience within a business partnering role would be advantageous

This hands-on position comes with a salary of £25 000 to £30 000 per annum depending on experience. 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays as well as health care pension.
