Senior Financial Policy Advisers

The Department of Finance's mission is to lead in the achievement of the Government’s economic, fiscal, banking and financial policy goals, having regard to the commitments set out in the Programme for Government.

The Department has a number of policy Divisions dealing with economic, tax, banking and financial services policy, as well as supporting the Minister for Finance in relation to Climate/sustainable finance and EU and international economic, fiscal and financial policy matters.

Currently the Department has vacancies for Senior Financial Policy Advisers (Assistant Principal Officer Higher) in its Banking and Financial Services Divisions.

Reporting to a Head of Unit, Senior Financial Policy Advisers are engaged in the development of policy advice for the Minister for Finance and the Government on a range of domestic and EU/international financial services issues.

A panel will be formed from this competition to fill current and any future vacancies that may arise.
