We are seeking a Payroll Officer to join our team at Carey Mining's Head Office in Malaga. This role is available for an immediate start and is pivotal in ensuring accurate, timely payroll processing and compliance with employment laws while supporting our dynamic workforce.

Key Responsibilities:

• Payroll Processing: Manage end-to-end payroll processing for a diverse workforce, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Compliance: Ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, including superannuation, taxation, and award interpretation.
• Employee Queries: Respond to payroll-related inquiries and provide timely resolution for employees and management.
• Data Management: Maintain and update payroll systems and employee records with precision.
• Reporting: Generate and deliver payroll reports, including reconciliations, to support management and financial processes.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to streamline payroll operations.

What We're Looking For:

• Payroll Expertise: Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing within mining, construction, or a related industry.
• Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with payroll systems (e.g., Pronto, SAP, or similar) and advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Knowledge of Legislation: Comprehensive understanding of superannuation, taxation, and employment law.
• Attention to Detail: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on accuracy.
• Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate with employees and resolve payroll queries professionally.
