We are excited to present an exceptional career opportunity with one of the UK’s fastest-growing private equity firms. Our client, a prominent British Private Equity company, is seeking a high-calibre senior leader to drive the strategic growth of their diverse portfolio of manufacturing businesses. Due to continued expansion, they are looking to appoint an exceptional Chief Operating Officer / Chief Commercial Officer to manage and optimise their existing portfolio, while identifying and acquiring new businesses to fuel future growth.
This role offers you the opportunity to work closely with the Managing Directors of the portfolio companies, enhancing operational efficiencies, driving revenue and profitability, and implementing best practices across the board. If you’re a results-driven leader with a proven track record in the manufacturing sector and a passion for scaling businesses, this role offers significant potential for personal and professional growth.
Key
Responsibilities:
* Full P&L responsibility for 20+ manufacturing companies across the UK.
* Drive the modernisation, expansion, and growth of all portfolio businesses.
* Monitor performance, manage risk, and oversee the development of tailored growth strategies for each entity.
* Hold leadership and management teams accountable for delivering results.
* Spearhead new acquisitions - aligned with the company’s ambitious growth model.
* Report to the board and investors regularly, ensuring alignment with the broader business goals.
About You:
* Proven experience growing, acquiring, and selling manufacturing businesses
* A background as a CEO, Managing Director, or similar senior leadership role
* Expertise in managing multiple business units with separate P&Ls
* A dynamic, charismatic, and inspirational leader with a strong focus on performance
* High energy, exceptional organisational skills, and a flair for growth and cost management
* Familiarity with the strategies employed by high-performing conglomerates
