Key Responsibilities
- Management of payroll accounts and entitlements for staff
- Understand NDIS funding models and Price Guide, accurately interpret supports funded under an NDIS plan
- Lodge claims and process queries on the NDIS Portal PRODA, and liaise with stakeholders working in the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA)
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports in compliance with relevant regulations
- Provide accurate insights on financial performance and assist in strategic financial planning
- Manage month-end closures and prepare reconciliations
- Coordinate and execute auditing processes
- Implement and maintain robust financial policies, procedures, and controls
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Manage tax compliance and reporting obligations
- Provide financial guidance and support to management and other departments as needed
- Stay current with industry regulations and best practices to ensure compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2N years of experience in NDIS, not for profit, public accounting or a similar sector
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
- Willing to obtain an NDIS Yellow Card / Blue Card
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
