ABOUT THE ROLE - NGĀ ĀHUATANGA O TE TŪRANGA

Operating across the organisation, our Finance Business Partners work collaboratively with an allocated portfolio of diverse business units to facilitate the best financial decisions that create value for ratepayers and the community. This varied role has both financial and management accounting elements, but effective relationship building will be the key to your success.

The Finance Team cover a variety of work from Annual and Long-term planning to policy development and general accounting services. You will take the lead with specific work streams, and to encourage a solid knowledge base, your professional development & a supportive team culture, you will work closely with fellow Finance Business Partners and the wider Finance team, ensuring collective exceptional performance and service delivery.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR - KEI TE KIMI MĀTOU I TĒNEI MOMO TANGATA

Our ideal candidate will be a qualified accountant (or possess the equivalent experience). Most importantly you will have exceptional interpersonal skills that will enable you to establish positive working partnerships at all levels of Council. You'll need to be flexible and adaptable to changing work priorities - there's plenty of challenge & variety here! We're looking for someone who is willing to take ownership of their role and is focused on continuous improvement.
