Exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager to join a well-established, growing firm of Chartered Accountants based in Harrogate.With ambitions to further your tax career, your focus in this role will be to direct the provision of mixed taxation services to a wide range of clients (with a personal tax bias), whilst also managing general tax compliance to a large portfolio of individuals, entrepreneurs and their businesses.As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for:

• Leading tax advisory projects and working closely with the directors on tax planning matters including Capital Gains Tax, Inheritance Tax and profit extraction.
• Co-ordinating and overseeing tax compliance for a wide range of clients
• Undertaking technical tax reviews on personal, partnership, trust and corporation tax computations
• Reviewing the work of team members
• Managing the P11D process and reviewing the forms prepared by junior members of staff.
• Preparation of disclosures for HMRC.
• Build and maintain effective working relationships with clients

To qualify for this Tax Manager roll, ideally you should:

• Technically strong with a comprehensive knowledge of UK tax matters
• Experience working as a Tax Manager in Practice
• Comfortable dealing with clients and colleagues at all levels
• Approachable with a willingness to assist and develop colleagues’ careers
• You will ideally be CTA qualified or with equivalent experience
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience of Iris Accountancy Suite is advantageous
