Assistant Management Accountant | £30,000-35,000 | Liverpool

An exciting Assistant Management Accountant opportunity based in Liverpool to join an international business - suitable for a CIMA/ACCA studier or someone who has just qualified AAT.

This business has grown significantly over the last few years and works within a fast paced industry. As an employer, they will offer you exposure to management accounts, budgeting and reporting, as well as solid investment in you through a great study package and good chances for progression.

The Role

In this role as Assistant Management Accountant, you will be responsible for:

• Preparing monthly management accounts for your own division(s), including P&L, balance sheet reconciliations and cash flow analysis
• Posting accruals and prepayments
• Assisting in preparing of budgets and monthly forecasts
• Analysing variances with commentaries
• Maintaining the fixed asset register
• VAT returns
• Closing off the purchase and sales ledger during the month end close
• Preparing reports on sales, cash flow, performance and more, as and when required

We are looking for an individual who has:

• Experience working in a role where you have had exposure to management accounts (preparing packs would be ideal, posting accruals, prepayments etc)
• Shown a desire to develop through studying AAT/CIMA/ACCA
• Willingness to learn and develop
• Excellent communication skills and able to liaise effectively with non-finance stakeholders
• Excellent organisation skills with the ability to work to tight deadlines throughout the month
