Are you eager to land a brand new permanent role for the New Year? Our client in Southwest England are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to join their team and play a crucial role in their Finance operations.
Position: Finance Manager
Location:
Southwest England
Salary:
£56,089 per annum
Hours: Monday - Friday / 9am - 5pm
Contract: Permanent
Key Responsibilities
Identify, develop and support opportunities and initiatives to transform the delivery of financial services across the organisation.
Assist in the preparation of information for officers, elected members and the public in relation to financial issues.
Undertake development work in response to changing financial
regimes, new government legislation & initiatives.
Lead on the co-ordination & production of the in-year monitoring reports, ensuring key monthly financial monitoring tasks assigned are achieved to a high quality.
Lead on the collation of detailed revenue budgets including growth & transformation cost/efficiency programmes for inclusion. Job Requirements
Previous experience working within a local authority or a similar organisation.
At least 2 years experience within a Finance Manager or equivalent.
CCAB (or equivalent) qualification with post qualification experience and evidence of continuing professional development.
Experience of planning, motivating & controlling the work of a diverse team of Finance staff dealing with complex accounting issues.
Have a working knowledge of business and teamworking applications, e.g. Microsoft 365 or equivalent. *INDPERM*
