Key Responsibilities
- Assist with accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) by generating and processing invoices and payments.
- Process daily settlement for merchants, ensuring accuracy in payment amounts.
- Carrying out important checks to ensure our accounts reconcile, identifying discrepancies, and resolving them across all our payment platforms
- Perform regular bank and account reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy.
- Process employee expense reports, ensuring compliance with company policies.
- Maintain organised and up-to-date financial records, both digital and paper.
- Support the finance team with month-end and year-end closing procedures.
- Provide support during internal and external audits by preparing necessary documents and reports.
- Enter financial data into accounting software and ensure the accuracy of records.
- Generate reports on financial data as required by the finance team or management.
- Support the finance team with the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Assist with any finance-related projects, such as system upgrades or process improvements.
Requirements
- 1-3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role.
- Experience with accounting software Xero and Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel).
- Strong proficiency in financial reporting, analysis, and accounting principles.
- Advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, financial modeling).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
