More About the Role at THE ICONIC

The Commercial Analyst role sits within the Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Team, reporting to the Finance Business Partner for Commercial & Sustainability. The role supports the monthly forecasting and annual budgeting process, longer-term strategic and financial planning as well as providing ongoing insights and analysis on our sales, category and brand performance, as well as stock management.

To succeed in this role you will be agile, comfortable working in a fast paced environment and have a continuous improvement mindset. You will love to immerse yourself in data and are able to draw out insights that lead to action and be able to clearly communicate the insights. You have a highly analytical mind with a structured, logical manner of thinking which is critical to success in this role.

How You'll Succeed

• Have a keen sense of ownership and drive to see projects through to an outcome, on time and to a high quality
• Enjoy building stakeholder relationships and have a passion for influencing business decision making
• Highly analytical and data driven- I love to interpret data, analyse business trends and performance and provide insightful analysis and reporting to drive effective decision-making
• Not afraid to challenge the status-quo - I continuously seek out ways to identify and drive improvement in business processes, including automation of reports and models
• Ability to interpret data, analyse business trends and performance and provide insightful analysis to drive effective decision-making
• Maintain a high level of attention to detail even in high-intensity and pressure situations

What it takes

• 2 to 3 years experience as a commercial analyst or similar in the retail industry
• Outstanding interpersonal skills with an ability to win the trust and respect of stakeholders
• CA or CPA qualified or working towards - numbers are my passion!
• Excellent communicator with strong, clear, concise writing and presentation skills
• Effective time management, with the ability to handle multiple jobs at once
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills is key
• Prior expereince working with Commercial stakeholders will be highly regarded
