Based in Blenheim, we are looking for an Operations Controller to analyse the winery Cost of Goods and inventories, providing risk and opportunity analysis, and assisting the Finance Director with finance deadlines. This role involves close collaboration with all stakeholders to provide financial support for business issues.
Your day-to-day will include:
· Performing analysis, timely and accurate reporting throughout the organization
· COGS analysis, forecasting, and reporting
· Ensure inventory control is in line with MH requirements
· Work closely with the Accounting Manager to give support on Asset Management
· Collate and prepare budget, forecast & Mid Term Plan (PMT) submissions with local managers
· Support the Finance Director by providing project reporting, analysis and strategic business risk and opportunity analysis approach
· Support the Hospitality Team with hospitality reporting and performance review.
· Manage lease contracts and oversee IFRS 16 reporting
· Establish and sustain productive relationships with all key stakeholders
Requirements
Ideally, you will need
· Tertiary qualification or Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business/Commerce is desirable
· Significant experience (at least five years) working in a business or operations analytical role, preferably in a winery is required
· Strong ability to pragmatically organize priorities and make critical decisions
· Judgment and mature business skills
· Integrity, trust, and a proactive approach
· Ability to deal with conflicts, stress, and challenging situations successfully
· Excellent spoken and written English
· Proficiency in MS Office programs, including advance level of excel skills
· ERP systems and knowledge of SAP is a plus
