Finance Lead / Senior Accounts Assistant

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Senior Accounts Assistant / Finance Lead to join our clients team on a full-time permanent basis. In this role, you will provide crucial support to the accounts department, assisting with various financial tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the business.

Key Responsibilities of a Finance Lead / Senior Accounts Assistant :

* Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts

* Supporting with budgeting and forecasting activities

* Performing bank reconciliations and variance analysis

* Processing financial transactions and maintaining accurate records

* Assisting with month-end and year-end close procedures

* Collaborating with other departments to gather financial data and support decision-making processes

* Providing administrative support to the management accounts team as required

Requirements:

* Prior experience in a similar role is essential

* Daily use of SAGE

* AAT qualifications would be an advantage but not essential

* Strong understanding of Microsoft Excel, including VLookup and pivot tables, is highly desirable

* Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in work

* Good communication skills and ability to interact effectively with colleagues at all levels

* A proactive and adaptable approach to work, with a willingness to learn and take on new challenges
