IQ Accounting is looking to welcome a dynamic Senior Bookkeeper to join their team, working remotely as a consultant!
Our accounting firm believes in facilitating good business and creating comprehensive and efficient solutions for our clients business models and accounting systems.
To uphold our high service standards, we require the services of a self-motivated, disciplined, and detail-oriented senior bookkeeper. The candidate must handle high work volumes, meet deadlines, and work under pressure. Providing high-quality and concise work while delivering outstanding customer service is essential in this position.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The candidate will be required to do the following every month for all his / her clients:
Furthermore, the ideal candidate must be available to work at least 40 hours per week . This position is NOT suitable for individuals who are otherwise part-time employed. As this is NOT an office-based opportunity , we will supply all hardware and software to fulfil the necessary duties. You will be paid hourly with rates starting at R180 per hour, depending on experience (negotiable).

- Bookkeeping up to trial balance
- Payroll (essential)
- VAT monthly calculation and submission (essential)
- Other administrative services

- Candidates must have previous experience working at an accounting firm to be considered for this position.
- The ideal candidate must have more than 10 years of experience in bookkeeping, VAT, and payroll.
- The ideal candidate must have previously worked from home for at least 2 to 3 years and show self-discipline and consistency.
- Experience working on at least 50 SMEs simultaneously is required.
- As a minimum requirement, the person should have good experience and certificates in Pastel, Pastel Payroll, and Sage.
- The candidate should be skilled in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- The candidate must be fluent in Afrikaans and English.
- Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
