What you will be doing:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join the Procurement Finance Team, based in Derby.
As a Finance Business Partner, you will work in partnership with the Aerospace Procurement function, supporting & challenging them to make the right decisions on cost, cash & risk.
Succeeding in this role means having a focus on results, working effectively with Finance and Procurement teams, effective stakeholder management and prioritising on areas of largest value, risk and strategic importance.
Our Procurement teams are located throughout the UK and Overseas.

Responsibilities:
- Participate in delivering the strategic sourcing process, from initial strategy formulation and sourcing evaluation to contract review to optimise business outcomes. Ensure that robust financial analysis is performed in areas such as total cost of acquisition modelling and supporting negotiation activity.
- Drive improved business performance, providing insight and challenge to the purchasing teams to deliver on cost and cash.
- Support Business Continuity Management for Aerospace Procurement. Proactively perform supplier financial risk assessments, and ensure action is taken with the Procurement teams to mitigate and manage risk.
- Support externally facing supplier reviews and actions in the event of supplier failures.
- Work with the Procurement Teams to mitigate supplier claims on RR and to identify appropriate claims on suppliers, ensuring that the supplier claims database reflects the current position.
- Manage and deliver purchasing financial forecast processes relating to Aerospace Procurement.
- Review actual results against forecasts including identification of actions required to improve performance and driving these actions through to conclusion.
- Proactively support continuous improvement as part of a global procurement finance team
