We're looking for a Payroll Officer, who's a Sage 300 wizard, to manage payroll with precision and excellence. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Oversee end-to-end payroll process
• Review and process payroll input
• Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations, labour laws and company policies
• Generate and distribute payroll reports for management and financial analysis
• Prepare payroll journal entries and reconciliations
• Payroll queries
• Maintain payroll records
• System management and process improvements
• Team leadership and development - acting as the 2IC to the Payroll Manager

Education Requirements:

• Completed Matric (Grade 12)
• Tertiary qualification in payroll or HR

Job Requirements and Skills:

• 5 to 7 years' experience in a Payroll Officer position essential
• Sage 300 People working knowledge ESSENTIAL
• Strong understanding of statutory payments and returns
• Payroll accounting and reporting to finance experience essential
• Proficient in MS packages
• Deadline driven
• Ability to work in a high pressure, fast paced environment
• Team player
