Are you a strategic and dynamic leader with a passion for driving business growth, financial performance, and stakeholder engagement? Our client, a leading financial institution, is seeking a highly skilled Provincial Business Unit Head to lead their regional operations to be based in the Nelspruit area. You will oversee business growth, portfolio development, risk management, and governance compliance to achieve the bank's strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Business Strategy & Growth: Develop and implement operational strategies to drive deal origination, business development, and profitability.
  • Client & Stakeholder Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including provincial government structures, industry players, and the local community.
  • Financial Performance: Oversee loan book growth, maintain a healthy cost-to-income ratio, and ensure financial sustainability.
  • Operational & Risk Management: Lead daily operations, including lending, product sales, customer service, and compliance with governance standards.
  • People Leadership: Manage and develop high-performing teams, ensuring a positive work culture and employee satisfaction.
  • Governance & Compliance: Ensure adherence to banking policies, risk management, and audit requirements.
Key Requirements:

  • Education: B Degree in Commerce, Business Sciences, or equivalent qualification in Banking & Financial Services.
  • Experience: 5-8 years in Development Finance or Commercial Banking, with strong experience in Credit/Lending, Financial Analysis, and Due Diligence.
  • Leadership: Minimum 2-3 years in a management role (Branch Manager/Sales Manager), with experience in operations, stakeholder engagement, and sales management.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, SAP, Financial Modelling, and Risk Management.
  • Additional: Willingness to travel extensively and work extended hours as required.
